Classroom exercise: Using lines, circles and squares to convey weight, scale, direction, and texture.
Project One: Scavenger Hunt
Part one: First we created collages using found forms and images. Next we assigned a word to each of our collages. We then experimented with different representations of each word. Lastly we incorporated the words into our final compositions.
Part two: Next we used the combined imagery from everyone in the class to create a narrative. The collages were to be five spreads long, in black, white, and one color, and were not to include typography.

Project Two: Movie Posters
For this final project we were to design movie posters for Memento, a film by Christopher Nolan starring Guy Pierce. One poster had to be purely text and one had to include a hand-drawn element.
